Daniel H. Litoff, M.D. F.A.C.P.
Dr. Litoff is exceptionally caring. He likes the challenge of diagnosing
tough medical cases. He is also a recognized leader in using computerized
applications for patient care. He currently is a member of the Illinois
Department of Public Health's Task
Force on the Electronic Health Record.
Dr. Litoff graduated from State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine, Brooklyn, New York. He did his internship and residency at Michael Reese Hospital and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. Dr. Litoff is on the faculty of Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine and University of Illiniois School of Medicine in Chicago. and is on the staff at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. He served as President of the Medical Staff at Michael Reese Hospital from January 2002-January 2004. Since then he has contributed as principle investigator on research studies in diabetes and osteoporosis. His special interests are in general internal medicine, geriatrics, and sports medicine. He was elected to Fellowship in the American College of Physicians in 2007.
If you call him after office hours, he may answer you from the cell phone on his bicycle, as he is a long-distance bicycle rider and triathlete. You may also hear his two teenage children playing music in the background.
